Rick has over 15 years' experience as a forensic accountant, specializing in accounting analysis related to a wide variety of engagements, including complex civil litigation, divorce of high net worth individuals, business valuations, and fraud-related engagements.  During his professional career, Mr. Hoagland has been admitted as an expert witness in the 15th Judicial Circuit (Palm Beach County), 17th Judicial Circuit (Broward County), and 19th Judicial Circuit (Martin and St. Lucie Counties) of Florida.

Before forming Forensic Accounting & Valuation Services LLC, Mr. Hoagland was a partner and forensic accountant with Moore, Ellrich & Neal, P.A., in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Rick earned a Bachelor's degree from The University of North Florida in 1992 and attended the University of Florida to accumulated the additional credits necessary to become a CPA licensed by the State of Florida. Rick has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed by the State of Florida since 1993.

Rick is Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV) and designated as Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, is designated as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and is designated as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.  Each of these credentials is based on a combination of significant training, hands-on experience and a rigorous examination process.

Mr. Hoagland is a member in good standing of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (in which he is active on the Examination and Grading Committee and the Course Review Committee).
